Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - shipping was awesome but product sucked basically..
ok so i ordered this item saturday night and it came to my house wednesday around noon, which was great because i was expecting it to come friday. and when i opened it, it was solid, hefty and seemed like decent quality metal.

but...

it takes a real strong snap to fully extend to a point where it will not retract. and after a couple good hits on something hard, it will bend and look retarded. and thats if it doesnt retract on you because first time i tested on a pole, it just became real loose and collapsed. and after i snapped it open really hard and hit the post a couple of times, the top piece bent and it would not close properly. it took me a good number of whacks on the same pole to get it straight-ish again.

oh well, for 16 bucks, i guess i was expecting a lil too much. I guess i have to look up mods to try and improve it. i got what i paid for, so next time i will just cough up the extra 50-70 and buy an asp.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Serious hardware for a low price
I got friends telling me to spend the money on a ASP. Expect no subsitutions! they said. Well, I here to tell you that for a fraction of the price you can get just as good of a product. This thing is solid steel. The grip is rubber with texture not cheap foam. The nyon case is the real deal too.

Just a flick of the wrist is a bit of an understated through. The magnet that holds the baton closed it pretty strong so it requires a pretty hard flick make sure all pieces lock into place. Once it's out you have to smack the tip pretty hard to get it to close. This also means it would make a great jab weapon.

Overall I'm impressed what I got for $16.99. Especially for something I will hopefully never use. It makes spending the money on as ASP quite a poor investment.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great protection from coyotes and bobcats!
We have a lot of coyotes and bobcats where we walk our dog, and they've been getting a little more bold in the past year. Carrying this item on our walks has given us a little security. It comes in a case and can hang on your belt. We got the idea after watching an episode of "The Unit".

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A tool I never want to need but am happy I have it.
The extendable baton is exactly as described. It is light, responds easily to a flick of the wrist, and fits in my inside jacket pocket. The carrier is a nice touch if you want to wear it on a belt. A very sturdy baton.
