Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Alvin!!!
The ORIGINAL Chipmunk movie! It doesn't get any better than this. The music is classic! Please check it out. It is worth your time.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of the Best Chipmunk Videos
My daughter requested this DVD because she was very young when we had it on VHS. It was her favorite chipmunk movie. I totally recommend it!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - a Nostalgic favorite
My sister actually bought this and brought it over to watch at my apartment the other day. I'm 24 and she's 20 but we had both watched this when we were younger (it actually came out a year before my sister was born!) and loved it then. Watching it the other day was the first time we had seen it since we were quite small and it was as fun and amusing as we remembered.

Then and now we love the idea of traveling around the world and doing fun (and sometimes dangerous) things. The songs are cute and funny. My sister and I got a particular kick out of watching Brittany and Jeanette try to snake charm with the song about "gettin' lucky with you." I'd actually love to hear some of those songs non-Chipmunkified so that it'd be easier to sing along with but they are perfectly fun to sing as is too.

When we were little we liked Alvin and Brittany the best as characters but as adults we found them to be annoying and liked characters like Simon much better. His dry humor when he instructs Alvin to put the balloon by the fountain and Alvin sticks it in the trees ("Like I said, in the tree.") made us crack up. We never used to like him.

Anyway I found it adorable and I'm buying a copy for myself now.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Movie
I have loved this movie since I was a child. I have it on tape, but it's not doing too well recently, so I bought this DVD. Great price; the quality is not perfect, but not bad at all. I'm just really happy that I have it in DVD now.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - This Movie's Age Shows, Strictly for Nostalgia
An OK movie, didn't really take the plot too seriously, just wanted to look at the animated Chipmunks for the first time in years after seeing the 2007 live-action movie.

As expected, looks like an early 90's kid's movie, but the songs weren't bad and it's pretty fun. Make you remember the time.

This year has seen several young companies--including Orbius--offering to harness the power of social networking for business.

The proposed acquisition of Macromedia by Adobe is not a done deal. Both companies are under the scrutiny of the SEC, and it must also be approved by stockholders. While Macromedia/Adobe gives this process three to nine months, some industry analysts feel that is being overly optimistic. But assuming that all is goes as planned, Macromedia will cease to exist. Everything will be in the Adobe name and with the Adobe interface.

Virgin America formally launches: Last week, Virgin America offered free Wi-Fi on its single Internet-equipped aircraft, My Other Ride's a Spaceship. Today, the service goes commercial ($10 for flights 3 hours or shorter; $13 for longer flights), and the rollout to other planes begins. Virgin has a special URL--http://wifitracker.virginamerica.com/--that takes you to a tracking page showing which flights in progress have Wi-Fi, but they don't yet tell you how to determine whether a given flight you'll be on will offer the service. With 24 planes and a plan to add service one per week, that shouldn't be a problem for long.

Heathrow Airport Coach Link adds Internet service: Icomera, a leading transportation Wi-Fi firm, has added free Wi-Fi to FirstGroup's RailAir coach service that connects Heathrow Airport with Reading in England. RailAir runs every 20 minutes for a 50-minute route. FirstGroup handles 3 million passengers a day across all its routes, which makes it a plum market for future expansion.

Awareness Technologies adds Wi-Fi positioning for laptop recovery: Awareness is the latest firm to partner with Skyhook Wireless to use Wi-Fi positioning to its products, in this case Laptop Cop, software designed to aid in recovery. The software starts at $50 for a 1-year license, with discounts for quantity.
