Editorial Review:

Product DescriptionThe Bella Band is a seamless knit band you wear at your waistline, over your unbuttoned pre-pregnancy pants, over slightly big maternity pants, or around the waistband of any maternity style that falls down around your hips. The Bella Band holds your pants up, disguising bulky unfastened closures or excessive fabric creating a smooth belly surface. Now, no one has to know your pants are undone or loose. Wear the Bella Band concealed, or let it peek out from under your top for that hip, layered look. If your top rises, it looks like a t-shirt or camisole -- not a funky mechanism to expand your waistband or hold up your pants.

Features:
  • Wear your non-pregnant girl pants a little longer and those cute maternity fashions a little sooner.
  • Colors to match any wardrobe.
  • Bella Band orders ship for under $5!
  • Fast shipping via Priority Mail.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great product!
My friend got this and said she loved it, so of course I had to try it. It's a great product when pants don't fit - and you don't have to worry about people noticing because it fits so well to your body. The only problem I've had with it is that my hips are a little larger and I ordered a Size 1 because my pre-pregnancy size was a 6. I feel I probably should have gone with a Size 2 because when i sit down and stand up I have to adjust the back because it seems to roll up easily. Other than that, NO COMPLAINTS! It keeps everything tucked in the front, even though I can't button my pants and the zipper is only coming up halfway. It's very comfortable, too!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Absolute lifesaver!
I love my bella band! It is so comfortable and I love that I get to wear all my favorite jeans still! Definitely would recommend :)

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good Idea But Other Companies Do It Better
I am 13 weeks pregnant and ordered this after the good reviews. I have to say that I like the bands I have from Motherhood Maternity better. The Bella Band has a label on the outside on the bottom, so others can tell it isn't just a t-shirt. Also, the interior tag is on the bottom and you could see it through the band. I think it is really dumb that they don't put it at the top where people couldn't see it. The bands from Motherhood don't have an exterior label and instead of an interior label on the bottom they have a tagless label on the top. All the bands rode up a little for me (I'm 5'4" and 132 pounds) but I do like them and I am able to unbutton my pants and the band keeps them up.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Better than a rubber band
This is a very good product for extending the life of your pre-pregnancy wardrobe well into your second trimester. Also, it helps hold up/smooth out those too loose maternity bottoms.
The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is...I feel like I am frequently pulling it back down at the bottom. It has a tendency to ride up after sitting down or after driving in the car. I wish it had a little rubber grip at the bottom to help prevent this. Also the extra layer is a little hot in the summertime.
All that said, it is worth the price. I bought two, one in white and one in black and had plans to buy more, but I really only ever wear the white one. There's really no need to get it in every color.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Perfect item for pregnancy
This is perfect for pregnancy, I've been wearing it for several weeks since my regular pants are too tight, but maternity clothes are too big.

Ted Shelton: "Frankly I felt that BlogOn was a waste of time and money."

I think the BlogOn conference was overproduced. In the name of professionalism the organizing firm turned off potential speakers, oversubscribed sponsors, etc.

I would have liked a debatable topic (aside from *blogging = journalism*. Two people slugging it out. Or a devil's advocate taking challenges from the floor.

I would have liked more hard numbers. Facts. Charts. Diagrams. We have the analytic tools to BS-check them; harder on vague opinions and single-points-of-observation.

I found it disturbing how much money was being commanded (from both attendees and sponsors) for a conference at a university. Maybe it was because it was at Berkeley? Maybe we should have taken over a community college or a Cal State or a DeVry. The facilities costs would have been cheaper at least. I heard an organizer apologize and say the next one would be at a hotel, like that would have been better.

Cost wasn't the whole problem. We're at a stage where early adopters are meeting folks who want to leap the chasm. Huge gaps in knowledge, experience, context, culture, vocabulary. It's the gap.

There are huge ideas to be explored, even in the world of applying blogs to media strategy and the enterprise. And most of the big ideas weren't even on the agenda at BlogOn. Probably because it was catering to those who want to commercialize, fund, and otherwise exploit (excuse me, "get in on") the emerging medium.

Let's fork these conferences so advanced topics on business and technology and culture fit the participants.
