I bought this dress thinking it would be something cute to wear to a friend's wedding. When I got it, the band around the middle was saggy and the dress fit me like a bag. I have a small waist and curvy hips-- this dress made me look like I was 4 feet tall.
Newport News products are generally poor quality and do not look at all in person the way they do in the catalog.

It is very flattering on my curvy figure and can be dressed up or down for any event. perfect for a backyard bbq or a big night out, depending on how you accessorize.
