Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Obus Forme Sound Therapy Relaxation System
This is a very well designed machine with a good number of selectable sounds and volume, also can be set to shut off after one hour, and can run on batts.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Sound Machine
Some sounds are not too clear, difficult to select in the dark with no lighted buttons.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - could be better
I suppose this is normal for a machine of this type. But the sounds, while realistic initially, tend to grate on my nerves after awhile. Of course the sound is just repeated over and over with no variance. With a CD of nature sounds there is more variety to the sounds and that slight variety apparently is what lulls me to sleep. I can't say I recommend this machine. If you prefer the sound of a stream, try Relax With Mountain Streams it's great.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sound Therapy system is perfect for us
We ordered this Obus Sound Therapy System to take on a vacation stay at a hotel where one person staying snores. It worked great. It drowns out any sounds you need and is so easy to take with you. Its small and can be used with batteries when needed.
We then took it to our boat and use it when staying in the slip at the docks, while others in their boats are loud and up late.
We also purchased a second one for our daughter and her family. They have twin baby girls and they were waking each other up. This has been perfect for them and now they use it for all naps and at night.
This has a good selection of sound and the white noise is what we use the most.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Really nice
This is a very nice sound machine. Works great & I am very pleased with product

LONDON (Reuters) - Japan's No.3 bank sought to beef up its capital on Wednesday, markets fretted over the stricken U.S. car industry and Britain's central bank said it considered cutting rates even more dramatically than it did this month.

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?

The W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Working Group has published the Proposed Recommendation of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 and updated Working Drafts of Understanding WCAG 2.0, Techniques for WCAG 2.0, and How to Meet WCAG 2.0. "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 covers a wide range of recommendations for making Web content more accessible. Following these guidelines will make content accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, limited movement, speech difficulties, photosensitivity and combinations of these. Following these guidelines will also often make your Web content more usable to users in general. WCAG 2.0 success criteria are written as testable statements that are not technology-specific.
