Not all pedometers are created equal: Omron HJ-720ITC

I've lost count of how many different pedometers I've bought over the years and none of them worked. I had to attach them to my waistband and they'd pop off and never kept accurate steps. They were all different prices and manufacturers but NONE ever worked. Adding insult to injury, all of them demotivated me because I would go to the high school track and walk around it four times, knowing each time was 1/4 of a mile and the various pedometers never gave me a mile as the figure.
The Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer with Advanced Omron Health Management Software is in a class by itself!!! It retails for $60 but amazon.com has it for about $30. I ordered one and have been using it since the day it arrived. What I LOVE about it is that you can put it in your pocket or even a purse you carry with you and it works!!! So no more having to clip it to my waistband. It's accurate. Easy to use. Has an internal memory of 7 days so if you're away from your computer for a few days at a time it remembers the number of steps you took and uploads it to your computer next time you hook it up with the USB cable it comes with.
I have and will continue to recommend no other pedometer to friends and family alike. This little gadget is worth its weight in gold!!!!

This pedometor is this best I've ever had. Easy to use & download. I'm very impressed. The clip could be alittle better. Comes off alot but saftey strap keeps me from losing it.

Walk and Walk
Pedometer seems to be accurate and durable. It is a good way to keep track of daily walking and the software is a breeze to use. Would recommend for sure.

Works great, needs better clip and safety strap
This is a fairly well-designed product that works great overall. It tracks steps well but it only starts counting after a few seconds so you have to walk a little ways before those initial steps are counted. The software works great and is easy to use and downloads everything quickly. I like how it keeps track of everything over time and has bar graphs for the day, week, month, or year. The plastic on the face seems to be pretty tough because I've only got one small scratch so far and I use this thing every day and during soccer games, volleyball games, bike riding, etc. It gets banged around a lot and has held up well.
The only problem I've had so far is that the safety clip broke after about 6 months. The clip is a little flimsy and if you are snapping it to anything with thickness it is going to break. I managed to superglue mine back together and so far it is still holding. Also, the belt clip could use a stronger spring because with heavy activity and anything bumping it the unit will pop off quite a bit. You really need to use the safety clip and unfortunately the safety clip breaks over time. Hopefully others will have good luck gluing it. The unit itself is extremely sturdy and if you can throw it in a pocket that is the best way to use it.
My battery lasted almost 6 months which is plenty. Overall it's a great pedometer that I would purchase again if I needed to.

No fuss, incredibly easy to use pedometer
I recently purchased this pedometer because I wanted to measure my walking distances for light exercise and also how much I was walking in an average day. This meter is small, efficient, and incredibly easy to use. Perhaps too easy to use. In other words, it does not readily make it possible to measure distance walked in a single session. Rather it tabulates it every 24 hours and resets at midnight. So if you're trying to walk for a specific session or routine, this pedometer does not easily allow you to measure walking distance from start to finish, you have to do the math yourself. I could be mistaken but this was all I could get it to do after using it for a few days.
Who else would spend $25 in a Hello Kitty Action DJ Speaker—which moves pretending she's a DJ at the rhythm of the music played in your digital audio player—but a twisted disco pussy lover with probably too much Jack Daniels running through his veins and listening to ABBA right now?
