Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Product
This stainless steel mandoline is excellent for all your kitchen slicing and is easy to clean. The legs lock in place well and the blades are very sharp. I had no trouble putting the blades in and regulating the width of the slices. Anyone who does a lot of cooking will love this product.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good Product - Good price
There are many products on Amazon like this and I must have looked at them all. Some are plastic, Some are close to 100$, I went with this one and I can't be more happy. First lets looking at using this product. I was simply a snap. I unpacked the item, the blades comes in it own little box and just slide into the slicer easy and snug. The top knob is used to select the thickness and it will slice it thin. The slicer comes four different blades and they cut good. As for the blades they may dull over time, however they may not. They do not seem sub-par so more then likely they could last for years. As for clean up it took me less then two minutes to clean, so for it was a snap.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Does What You expect
Been wanting a Mandolin for awhile. A one Day Sale put these dont to fifteen buckaros here on Amazon.
This cleans up easily , folds down to be somewhat easier to store... but it is still bulky. The blade option are a nice feautre.
Sliced 16 potatoes for scalloped potatoes in minutes.... very nice.

Note: a mandolin is only useful for larger jobs, otherwise the cleanup and all that, make it worth using just a knife and a cutting board.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not impressed
I too, had high hopes for this slicer-unfortunately I am less than impressed. It does a really good job of slicing and grating cheese. My biggest complaint is that the legs kept collapsing on me while I was using it.

Also, DO NOT use this machine without the black food holder! My onion did not fit so instead of cutting it to fit I decided to hold it (not smart) while slicing which resulted in a nasty cut.

As for the blades getting dull, I really can't comment. I have only used this product 4-5 times and so far the blades are still pretty sharp.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - neat slices - even by a kitchen klutz
I confess, I'm a total klutz - especially with anything sharp. After multiple friends ranted and raved about their mandolines and suggested I get one so I could slice safely, I thought about it but figured it was just another of those gadgets that'd take up space and never really do what was promised. However, when I found this on sale, I figured I'd give it a try. It'd have been a bargain at the full price. It does EVERYTHING as promised - it's as safe as my friends said a mandoline would be - and it's even easy to clean.
